Metrology
Working Group (WG)
The Working Group (WG) on "Metrology" reports to the Expert Committees (CES) on "Health Reference Values" and "Assessment of the risks related to air environments".
The role of this working group is to assess the available measurement methods in order to recommend the most appropriate method or methods for measuring concentrations in the air for comparison with the reference values, mostly Occupational Exposure Limits (OELs) and, less frequently, Indoor Air Quality Guidelines (IAQGs) drawn up by the Expert Committee (CES) on "Health Reference Values".
The Working Group's missions are to:
- assess the available measurement methods in order to recommend the most appropriate method or methods for measuring concentrations in the air for comparison with the IAQGs and OELs recommended by the Agency;
- respond to occasional requests to ANSES on issues related to the WG's specialist theme;
- possibly reflect more broadly on the exposures in indoor and occupational environments: settled dust, surface contamination, etc.
